Make Art Not War fest to screen ‘Bowl, Paper, Fish’

Iranian animation ‘Bowl, Paper, Fish’ is selected to compete at the 2020 Make Art Not War festival (MANW) in the US.

Directed by Amir-Shahab Mehdizadeh, the 6-min animation narrates the story of two very young vendors who sell their goods alongside the beach.

One of them sells fish in plastic bags and the other sells paintings of free fishes in the sea.

The short previously competed at the 2020 Festival Film Bahari in Indonesia and the 2020 UK-based Grounded Film Festival.

The MANW festival showcases the teasers and short films from all over the world.

The festival aims to strengthen the production, promotion and distribution of films.

The upcoming edition of the festival is set for September 17-20, 2020.
